Comments DAS Becoming a biker has been getting higher on my 'wish list' for years and the best thing i have ever done is call Allan. It's obvious Allan and Andy have put a lot of thought, care and attention into their course. From the onset their response was helpful, positive and professional. Their passion for bikes coupled with a talent for training makes their course, in my view, a cut above. The facilities at the Barracks suits the purpose and all equipment from bikes to safety wear and helmet are supplied. Having passed my test and purchased my beloved 'Bonnie' and completed my first run over the Lecht i can't thank Allan and Andy enough. Good luck to all future bikers.

Comments DAS "BRILLIANT" Kevin Taylor Bridger Of Don .
Comments DAS - Having had very little experience on any motorbike i was very apprehensive about taking my test, however after only 2 days of riding i felt confident that i would pass. This is purely down to the outstanding and professional standard of instruction i recieved with Allan. His approach to training was brilliant and i would recomend anyone who is thinking about going for the DAS, to go with Right Start. Really enjoyed the course guys, thanks again. Craig Wyness, Peterhead
Comments DASI’d just like to record my thanks to Rightstart for enabling me to pass my ‘big bike’ test yesterday. I had previously failed once with another school and Allan very quickly got me to sort out a couple of basic errors in my riding while reinforcing all the good stuff I’d previously been taught. I’d certainly recommend Right Start to others. The lads are very professional while being friendly and fun and instill a level of confidence in the rider (I’m sure the same applies to drivers too!) to the effect that despite having to change bikes, onto one I hadn’t ridden before, only 10 minutes before the test, I still had the belief in myself to pass. Thanks again. Bob Banks Huntly
Comments DASI had the pleasure of being taught by both Allan and Andy for my DAS and found both to be excellent instructors. They were thorough, patient, professional and very helpful.I would recommend RSM to anyone looking to learn to ride for the first time or anyone looking to return to biking. David A Haggath, Peterhead
Comments DASAllan & Andy, I am just writing to thank you for getting me through my CBT and Test so quickly. I would highly reccomend anyone to take their lessons with yourselves. At no point was I put under any pressure or shouted at when I made mistakes , the whole procedure was a pleasure and I had a great time out on the bikes. I would also like to add that your whole setup from that first telephone call to me passing my test s first class and very proffessional Thanks again Andrew Ewan, Fraserburgh
Comments DASA big thanks to Andy for his patience with my "U" turns. Was fearing the worst when after 3-days still couldn't get it right. But with perseverance, something clicked on 4th day. Andy gave me loads of confidence and thanks to his perseverance, passed first time on a Monday morning at 9.00am. Andy and Allan were very professional, thoroughly recommend RSM for any training. All the necessary gear there if you need it (protective gear). 5-Star training. Once I get a bit more experience on a "big bike" will see about advanced riding course with them. I had to travel 50 miles for my DAS, but was worth every penny. Best of Luck for the future. Mike Smith - Rosehearty
Comments DASght. One other comment would be that my initial contact with yourself was the reason that I took my DAS with RSM, so do not underestimate the importance of replying to speculative emails and calls (as I’m sure you don’t).
“I chose RSM for my DAS training due to the informative and professional service provided by Allan at RSM in my initial enquiries Allan gave a full and helpful response even though I could just have been a timewaster, other companies were too blunt and unhelpful, Andy (my instructor) continued to exceed my expectations and was (extremely) patient as I got to grips with the basics. He then concentrated on getting me up to test standard and explained what was required for the test. The bikes are modern and well maintained, as is the clothing and radios etc. The location and set-up for the initial off road training is first class and I would not hesitate to recommend RSM to anyone considering getting a motorbike license.” Ian Stapleton Peterhead
Comments DAS“Being a complete novice and late starter I had my nerves settled after speaking with Allan who was very informative and willing to answer all of my questions. Andy my instructor for the course has the patience of a saint and was a pleasure to learn with. All equipment was up to date and the level of training exceeded my expectations. I recommend anyone wanting to get in to biking to get in touch with Allan, you won’t regret it. Thanks again Allan & Andy, look forward to seeing you out and about.”

Comments DAS"I would like to thank Allan and Andy for their help and patience shown to me in getting me through my direct access test. Allan was always smiling, even when I dropped the bike for the third time. (Or was he grimacing?) I even managed the dreaded 'U' turn thanks to their help. I would highly recommend Right Start to anyone. Thanks, Lucy Holloway" Mimtlaw
Comments DASI'd like to thank Right Start for their professionalism in helping me get through my 4 day course. Andy my instructor clearly explained each stage thoroughly before moving on to the next stage. I was extremely impressed with all the equipment bikes, radio's etc. I would recommend anyone that is looking to do motorcycle training to use this company. Apart from the weather I had a great 4 days with an excellent result at the end of my course. Thanks again Derek Taylor
Comments DASA massive thank you to Allan and Andy at Right Start Motoring for all their help and support in getting me through my CBT and DAS course and passing my test first time. The level of service and professionalism was outstanding. After phoning several other companies in Aberdeen. I found RSM, Allan was very helpful and very informative with all my enquiries. Also a big thank you to Andy for all his patients on those U turns & left hand bends on the country roads. With thanks to the high level of training I passed first time. I would highly recommend RSM to anyone looking to sit there CBT or DAS training as the standard of training is exceptional. Thanks again Guys. Julie Grant-Ritchie Aberdeen
Comments DASI would like to say a hhhhhhhhhuge thanks to RSM and a special thatnks to Andy for getting me through both my CBT and DAS training, passing my test first time!! Andy's quality of training was brilliant and he had the patients of a saint (espeically with my u bends) and a heart of gold. Although I may have left him with a heart condition now lol. I had next to no experience apart from sitting on the back of the bike, and thanks to RSM got me trained up and through my test. I would highly recommend RSM to anyone that would like to learn to ride a motorbike. Thanks again Andy Your a Star!! X Joolz Smith, Kincorth, Aberdeen Woo Hoo !!!!
Comments Rusty Rider Hi, Just thought I would drop you a line regarding the Rusty Riders training course. After not having ridden a bike for over 25 years I was very apprehensive about taking this course. I needn’t have worried, Andy was brilliant. He put me at ease and was very patient with me which helped immensely. The structure of the course was ideal for my needs. There was the right level of off-road training and encouragement before venturing onto the open road. Once on the road, Andy was in constant contact and took me into different situations and road conditions which ensured that I was comfortable with what I was doing. He was able to pinpoint problem areas and made sure that while on the road there was ample opportunity to try and put these things right. People say that once you have ridden a bike that you never really forget and to a certain degree that is true, however, you also remember all the bad habits that you had before and these were some of the areas that Andy was able to concentrate on with me. Most of all, it was a fun day which makes it all the more enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this course to anyone who, like me, has not been on the road for some time. Times have changed in the biking world and this course is ideal for people like myself who are concerned about getting back on two wheels. I am certainly more confident than I was before taking this course but there is still work for me to do. The course was able to highlight particular areas that I need to practice and over a period of time, hopefully, these will get ironed out. Don. Aberdeen

Comments DAS I would like to say a big thanks to Allan and Andy for successfully getting me through the CBT and DAS training and their part in me, passing my test at the first attempt ! Right from the start RSM handled everything professionally, RSM where very flexible and arranged the course around my busy 'day job' commitments. The last time I rode a bike was a moped back in the 80's so I started the course with some anxiety. The quality of training and equipment was excellent and the facilities at the Gordon Barracks ideal, especially for the CBT. Andy had the patience of a saint with me especially getting those lines on those bends on the country roads! I really enjoyed the course and this 'old dog' has definitely learnt some new tricks. If you never ridden, coming back to it after a long break or a rusty rider the skills you learn with RSM are invaluable to make you a safe rider, and I have no hesitation in recommending them. RSM provide everything so all you need to do is turn up, so 'get on yer bike !'
I think its important to maintain the skills ( and eliminate any 'post test' nasty habits I pick up) so I'll be back next year to do the 'rusty Rider' course. Dave H Balmedie Aberdeen
Comments DAS - I would just like to say a big 'Thanks' to Allan and Andy for a first class course. Their expertise, knowledge and rider techniques in the safe use of the motorbike quickly got me back on a bike after 35 years. Not only did they approach my ignorance with patience and determination, but they also gave great encouragement. I know that I am now much safer on the road having received this excellent instruction. Thoroughly recommended to all riders whether aiming for your test or just brushing up on your rider skills. You are never too old to learn and learning with experts gives great confidence in your ability. 'Right Start' are probably the best motorcycle training company in Aberdeen. D White Montrose

Comments DAS - My thanks to Andy, he persevered with me through to the end, even took me for a last run, to sort out the dreaded "U" turn. His patience is exemplary, He stood patiently as I tried U turn after U turn, I would not have passed on my first attempt if it was not for the above standard tuition that I receive from an excellent instructor. The full course is worth the money, as he will teach you skills that are really required to start to ride a bike, I would like to return for an advance course. For anyone wanting to start with an excellent instructor, I would look no further, follow his advise and guidance and you will have above average chance of succeeding, good luck to you all.
With thanks to Right Start. Danie Steyn, Hatton, Aberdeenshire
Comments DAS - "A big thank you to Allan and Andy at Right Start Motoring for the quality of training and customer support provided in helping me pass my DAS course. I haven't ridden a motorcycle before and was a bit daunted at the prospect. The step by step approach from Andy was superb and combined with his patience and sense of humour made me realise I should have done this years ago. Prehaps you can teach an old dog new tricks! Thanks very much for opening my eyes to something new and exciting." Neil Skillander Aberdeen
